Who We Are

Rachel Fennell (Artistic Director / Choreographer for Urinetown, the Musical) is the founder of Ghostlight Young Company. Having spent her time in one theater or another since the age of 6, she brings decades of experience in acting, directing and in all aspects of technical theater. Rachel served as the President of a The Burlington Players for some number of years (she can't really recall how many) and then as the Director of Education for 8 years. She also served as the Artistic Director at Spotlight Playhouse, as the Technical Director for a high school drama program, and as the President of the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres for 4 years. Rachel is an award winning festival stage manager. She is also very proud to have been the Production Manager for the Burlington Players' production of Radium Girls that came home with the top prize of Best Show from the American Association of Community Theatres' National AACTFest in 2013. A passionate teacher, one of Rachel's greatest joys is guiding and supporting others in their growth as artists.

Stacie Steinke (Music Director for Urinetown, the Musical) is a vocal music professional who believes that music builds community among all participants in the experience. Making connections with the audience through vocal music drives the stage performing, individual and ensemble teaching, and music directing that she does. She has performed in numerous opera, musical theater, and cabaret productions over the past 30 plus years. Stacie has music directed shows as diverse as Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story and Songs for a New World, and created and produced musical review shows in Mexico, Chicago, Washington, DC and here in St. Petersburg. She celebrates her passion in developing the individual singer’s potential as an actor and storyteller at her Body Breath & Soul Vocal Studio.
